Yacht Express port call in Toulon
Loading of the Luna S yacht onto DYT Yacht Transport’s semi-submersible vessel, the 'Yacht Express'
After 11 years at the docks of the Toulon naval base, the hull of the former Luna S was moved on June 17, 2024, for dismantling by CARDEM shipyards in Bordeaux. Transported aboard the semi-submersible vessel Yacht Express, the hull had been fully decontaminated of asbestos and cleared of hazardous waste to ensure safe transport.
The operation was carried out with the assistance of Chambon tugs, and the dismantling work will take place at the ICPE-certified facilities of the Grand Port Maritime de Bordeaux, in full compliance with environmental standards
